MANON PAQUET

I’m an architect based in San Francisco — originally from France, trained in Montreal, and licensed in California. My multicultural background gives me a broad perspective and a flexible, intuitive approach to design.

I began my career in commercial development and urban design, but over the past few years I’ve shifted my focus to residential architecture. My hands-on experience on job sites and remodeling my own home inspired me to connect more directly with homeowners.

I’ve felt a growing responsibility in tackling the housing crisis, and have worked on 250+ ADUs with a previous team, in an effort to densify under-zoned neighborhoods around the Bay Area. Through the challenges of optimizing empty backyards, I learned to adapt to local, concrete restrictions.

I have since developed a true curiosity for existing spaces, their adaptive reuse and optimization. There’s so much we can do to make existing homes healthier, more accessible, and more enjoyable; especially here in California. I believe we need to build better and that starts with using what we already have. I fully electrified my own home in experimentation, and am continuing to learn about passive house design, low-impact construction, and how to bring climate-conscious choices into every project.

My aesthetics are probably minimalist and European at heart, but never cold. I like spaces that feel calm, functional, and a little playful. I bring in color, texture, and art whenever I can! I also sew, weave, and make rugs —surely it influences the way I think about materials and technical details.

Though I run a solo practice, I collaborate regularly with contractors, engineers, designers, and other creatives because great projects are always a team effort. If you’re looking to renovate, reimagine, or just explore new space possibilities, I’d love to hear from you.

P.S. I also still take on the occasional office or coffee shop project — and I’m always open to new creative challenges. If you’ve got an idea or just want to chat, please reach out!
